Sonia Gandhi was born in Europe.

She fell in love with an Indian man, married him, left behind everything familiar, came to a completely different country, embraced its culture and traditions, learnt its languages, and made his country her own.

Life was never kind to her. She lost her mother-in-law, Indira Gandhi, and later her husband, Rajiv Gandhi, to assassination. She experienced unimaginable personal grief, but chose to continue with her responsibilities rather than turn her pain into a weapon for sympathy.

For decades, her foreign origins, family and personal life have been used to target her. Now, even at 79, she continues to face vulgar and misogynistic attacks from a shameless political party.

These attacks say far more about the BJP and RSS than they ever could about Sonia Gandhi.
