The allegation that India was involved in the assassination of a Canadian citizen and Sikh activist on Canadian soil moves the world’s most populous nation onto a dubious list of countries suspected of carrying out targeted killings beyond their borders. https://t.co/6LEYKaM6HE

How the Pahalgam Terrorists Were Sheltered Before the Massacre
A local man reportedly saw three armed men—later identified as the terrorists behind the Pahalgam massacre—enter the dhok of ponywallah Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar on 21 April 2025, a day before the attack. He saw them with Parvaiz and his uncle Bashir Ahmad Jothar, and then again at Baisaran Meadows on the afternoon of 22 April.
The witness stated that the terrorists confronted him but spared his life after he successfully recited the Kalma on their orders.
On the evening of 21 April, Bashir encountered the three armed terrorists in a forested area. The men requested shelter and food in the name of Allah. Bashir then brought them to the dhok of his nephew Parvaiz, where they were welcomed, given water, tea, and dinner.
The terrorists spoke about jihad and fighting for the freedom of Kashmiri Muslims. Their Urdu, spoken with a Punjabi accent, made it clear that they were not local Kashmiris. Parvaiz hid the three men under blankets and bedding inside the dhok while food and refreshments were arranged for them.
The terrorists stayed for nearly five hours. Before leaving around 10 p.m., they packed rotis, vegetables, spices, utensils, blankets, and a tarpaulin sheet for their onward movement. They also handed over ₹3,000.
The following day, despite seeing the same terrorists again near Baisaran Meadows, both Parvaiz and Bashir continued their routine work of taking tourists on ponies and did not raise any alarm. They remained in the area until around 1 p.m. before returning downhill.
Later, blankets and a tarpaulin sheet recovered from Baisaran helped establish the sequence of events preceding the massacre. At the attack site, 38 empty cartridges were recovered, revealing the intensity of the firing carried out on tourists.
Forensic examination further established that the weapons used in the Pahalgam massacre were the same weapons later recovered from terrorists neutralised in Operation Mahadev. The analysis also linked one of those weapons—an M-4 carbine—to the earlier Gagangir tunnel attack in Ganderbal, indicating a common terror network behind both attacks.
The emerging picture shows that the terrorists were provided shelter, food, supplies, and time to prepare before carrying out one of the most horrific attacks on civilians in recent memory.
