@thegrayfruit Built a computer for a woman in about 1997.
Hard drive failed 4 times. Corrupted as shit.
4th time I went to her house to replace the drive and the pc was plastered in fridge magnets.
Almost makes no sense telling that now...
@MaxCrider@GamewithDave Exactly this.
Got the demo with PC Mag.
Played 5 minutes on a crappy 2MB graphics card.
Uninstalled the game.
Drove to the nearest PC World and bought the game and a 16MB Riva TNT.
Loved that game so much.
@KasperStats@TheLukeK Day 0 is your first reading.
1 week later you get the second measurement.
2 weeks in, you have the 3rd to triangulate.
You don't even need to take the earth's curvature into account as triangulation is 3 dimensional, so you get the exact point in space.
@MoChatra Journalists should be reporting on news, not MAKING news.
Sports journalists seem to get 'reporter' mixed up with 'pundit'.
I don't want their damned opinion - I want to make my own opinion based on factual information.
@James_M_O_T@sciencegirl I vividly remember crawling in the dark and one of those feckers jumping right into my face.
Ended up on the floor.
And I was in a decent (at that time) office chair with casters.
Scared the life outta me 🤣
Ohhhh nooooo…not Trump voters traveling to Europe and then getting upsettypants when they’re asked who they voted for, and then things get icy or hostile when they refuse to answer because not answering means they clocked you and you’re not welcome.
Actions, mean consequences.
