A judge has now ordered Todd Blanche to produce the unredacted Epstein files and justify the DOJ's redactions.
Just like we've been saying: this fight isn't over, and the truth is still coming out.
BREAKING: Desperate Don is trying to bully the Senate into postponing its August recess and staying in D.C. to pass his egregious Voter Suppression "SAVE Act" -- a ruthless bill that would strip voting rights from millions of married American women, and gut the mail-in voting system relied upon by remote workers, isolated citizens, disabled Americans, injured veterans and struggling seniors.
Trump knows that if everyone votes, he loses.
And if he loses the November midterms, investigation open into Epstein, fraud, abuse of power, dereliction of duty, his Iran war, and corruption.
These will lead to impeachment, conviction, removal & prison (where he should be). That is why he's treating this like a national emergency.
When a president starts deciding which Americans get to vote, he knows the clock is running out.
In 97 days, American votes... what will you vote for?
NEW: Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has a message for Sen. Mitch McConnell: Explain your prolonged absence from the Senate and provide an update on your health, or resign:
“I am addressing this letter to Senator McConnell under the assumption that he is capable of reading and responding verbally, and not incapacitated by means of consciousness or cognition. If the Senator is unable to respond for either of those or other conditions, consider this letter a demand for his Senate staff to be honest and transparent with the people of Kentucky,” Beshear writes in the letter, written on state government letterhead and obtained by CNN.
“As Governor of the state you serve, I am calling on you to directly and verbally address the people of Kentucky and provide proof of your capacity to serve, or resign,” he continued.
#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “…two of the USDA labs that play a key role in investigating cyclospora contamination, are located at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, just north of Washington DC. Trump right now is in the process of CLOSING DOWN that whole facility in the midst of this massive cyclospora outbreak. He’s in the midst of closing that facility, including those specialty labs because yeah, who needs it?” 🤦♀️
Trump ran on two promises. Stop the wars. Expose the pedophiles.
Instead he dragged us into a dumb, illegal war with Iran and is protecting the pedophiles.
There are MORE than 600 casualties in Trump's Iran war. My sources were right in March and are telling me again that the Pentagon is lying to you AGAIN.
If Mitch McConnell didn't break any bones in his fall, had no concussion, no tumor, no stroke, no heart attack, or hemorrhage (according to his statement), then what exactly is he recovering from?
😡 BREAKING: New court filings reveal Republican Max Miller poured hot water on his wife, put a gun to her head, and broke his two year old daughter's collarbone.
Why is Mike Johnson defending him?
Todd Blanche has served as the chief architect of the Epstein cover-up—refusing to release millions of pages of Epstein-related documents and giving Ghislaine Maxwell a platform to deny responsibility.
He's acted like Donald Trump's attorney, not the attorney for the American people.
Trump’s extended posting spree yesterday suggests that he’s literally *psychotic.*
But the press is too terrified or timid to report that.
Some professional journalists with laptops and cameras need to start doing the job of reporting on the disintegrating mental health of the man with control of the planet’s second-largest arsenal of nuclear weapons.
It should be the most important news story in the world today.
BREAKING: Trump's Epstein cover-up runs out of room as a judge orders Todd Blanche to personally deliver him the unredacted Epstein files!
Journalist and attorney Katie Phang's Epstein files lawsuit just paid another dividend. Today she told podcaster Aaron Parnas that the federal judge overseeing her lawsuit against Acting AG Todd Blanche just sent a message the Trump Justice Department won't enjoy hearing: "Show your work."
Phang explained to Parnas why she believes Saturday's court order is far more significant than it appears at first glance.
"So far, my lawsuit against Todd Blanche has been successful on every step," Phang said.
"This particular order speaks volumes about kind of generally what this judge thinks about the merits of my case, but also speaks about how the Trump DOJ just doesn't have credibility anymore."
The order directs Blanche to appear in court by Thursday with specific, unredacted Epstein files, emails and other documents. But Phang said the real significance isn't simply the deadline.
According to her, Judge Emmet Sullivan is requiring Blanche to do something the Justice Department apparently hoped to avoid.
"He has to show his work," Phang said. That means Blanche can't simply tell the court the redactions were appropriate. He must bring documentation supporting every decision to withhold information from the public.
Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, Phang said the primary legal basis for redacting material is protecting victims.
She noted that both Blanche and Attorney General Pam Bondi have already acknowledged the files do not involve classified information or national security concerns, leaving victim protection as the central issue the court will examine.
"Judge Sullivan telling Blanche that he has to prove what he's claiming," Phang said, "I think is a bad sign for somebody who wants to be the Attorney General of the United States."
That may be the most important takeaway from Saturday's order.
Rather than accepting the Justice Department's assurances at face value, Judge Sullivan is requiring the department to produce the unredacted records and justify its redactions with evidence.
In other words, the court isn't simply taking the DOJ's word for it.
For critics who have questioned the Trump administration's handling of the Epstein files, that represents an important shift.
If the Justice Department wants to keep information hidden, it now has to explain precisely why. By Thursday afternoon, Todd Blanche won't just be dragging himself into court.
He'll be bringing proof – finally!
The president is out of control but Republicans aren’t willing to admit it. They’d rather cling on to Trump than act in America’s interests. Listen to LP Sr Advisor Stuart Stevens on MSNOW:
Hunter Biden: “What’s the one thing in the past 250 years that stands out a little bit? Maybe it’s the guy that paved over the Rose Garden and put a fucking Nazi eagle on the front of the fucking White House. Maybe it’s the guy who just took a fucking jet from the Qataris, the largest gift ever given to a president by a factor of a thousand which is completely illegal”
