The Grammy CEO announcing a "revamp" of the Asian Pop category days before the submission deadline is not reassurance but it is yet another layer of chaos and, frankly, sabotage.

After BTS’s statement and the massive backlash that rightfully followed, suddenly they want to "revamp" the category? At this point, the timing speaks for itself. Artists have already been preparing and submitting their work, and now, with the deadline right around the corner, everyone is left confused about what this category will even look like.

And let’s be honest: the artists who were the obvious winners have already opted out. So what exactly is this last-minute "revamp" supposed to achieve?

You cannot create a deeply flawed category, face justified backlash, and then announce a rushed overhaul at the eleventh hour while expecting people to see it as good faith.

@yjsdoll @Topekhanbeondeo they’re all connected though. yt music counts all streams from all videos of the song including the mv and since overall streams are low the mv views are obviously low too. and the country charts contribute to the global charts, but the song is not charting in many countries…
