The European Council has taken a proposal to force mandatory scanning of all photos and videos sent through private messengers (including encrypted messengers like Signal) and they’ve rebranded it as “upload moderation.” The implication is that it’s voluntary when it’s not.

@vergauwen_simon Yes, you're absolutely right, but also no 😇 For simply building a cache I don't want to do bookkeeping over consumer groups of all app instances, I like to consume using TopicPartition.
Anyway, I'll first play around a bit... The Publishing DSL looks nice. Very nice.

@vergauwen_simon @arrow_kt @kotlin Yeah, mainly just familiarity I guess .... when introducing Arrow into the code base, maybe counter intuitive, but the separate `Validated` seemed to click easier even though Validated and Either are the same.

@mathiasverraes but I'd think the majority sell to the general public at t=0. (and quite often give away tokens in quite substantial quantities to early supporters and users). Next to the fact that these token projects are more accessible than traditional equity markets anyway. (2/2)

@mathiasverraes He just seems to viscerally hate cryptocurrencies, but it makes it harder to take it seriously knowing he used to market his product as "The first blockchain designed for mission critical applications.", and "Adjoint offers an open-sourced private permissioned distributed ledger"
