We explored how FMNR can be adapted for forest reserves—where every tree truly counts unlike FMNR on farms. 🌳🌱

Together with Fairventures staff in Jubya inducted an FMNR and how it works on farms and communities. This was specific for CFR together with NFA team and the forest supervisors.
A total of 40 species were identified in a space of 2 Ha.
FMNR is the way to go!!

The FMNR Network members held their AGM on Thursday 24th April 2025. This is an obligation and a platform for accountability and planning to enhance good governance of the Network .

The FMNR Network Members were trained in digital monitoring of their FMNR sites. This training was lead by Dr. Andrew Carter from World Vision Australia and to us, one of the key pressing issues is data in its accuracy. This was therefore a great initiative to the Network members

On the left is a sprout of Albizia chinensis from a root as it was in April 2023. On the right is it's current size. I hope you can understand if we say FMNR is the easiest and cheapest way to increasing tree cover.

We were privileged to be facilitated by World Vision through the FMNR Catalyst Project to host a symposium themed: Using FMNR as a tool for landscape restoration.

During the ongoing Agricultural Show in Jinja, World Vision, in collaboration with the Uganda Farmers Federation, held a joint symposium to raise awareness about Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR).

The FMNR Network Uganda will be participating in this year's National Agricultural Show scheduled for 26th July to 4th August 2024. With support from World Vision Uganda, a symposium on using FMNR as a tool for restoration will be held on 3rd August at the Jinja show grounds.

We are excited to inform our members that the Network now has a new. Strategic plan 2024_2028. This was finalized and adopted on 18th July 2024 at Golf course Hotel with support from World Vision Uganda through the FMNR Catalyst Project.

How about if we use that extra space in our courtyards to produce some Organic food for the family.
This not only saves you from spending unnecessarily but can earn some dollars from sales. We can support our members in setting permaculture gardens.

Just like any other crop that is sown and managed in the garden, trees equally require adquate management and care especially during the early stages of establishment. Whether from seed or regenerating, take care of your trees. Some of the work FMNR Network supports.
