@montysbiscuit@WillHayCardiff He’s an independent journalist who has devoted his entire career to fighting against that, think you’re preaching to the converted.
@montysbiscuit@WillHayCardiff I totally agree with you in general but Will is possibly the most critical journalist when it comes to Reform in Wales, would recommend his newsletter on substack. He’s consistently highlighted Reform’s corruption and incompetence for years.
@RhydianLFrancis@Matthew26320290 43% of wales voters backed pro-independence parties in the election. Surely you don’t disagree that Welsh people should decide their own future? (Which is all the doc says). If you’re such a confident unionist you should welcome a referendum.
@chase_blount@Crimb1eCrumb1e 43% voted for pro independence parties, a higher share than in Scotland. It was 19.5% in 2011. Saying Wales has the right to decide its own future is just democracy… if you’re so confident wales is pro-union, why be afraid of a ref?
@Alessan23664041@ConeLFC@OrinAFC Plaid never said Wales isn't ready for independence, just ruled out a referendum in the first term. All they’ve signed is that Westminster has no right to block a referendum, and Wales must have the right to vote in future if they want to.
🗞️Wales is a nation, not a region of England.
We will work closely with the UK government on empowering communities, but when it comes to devolution, it’s really important that the new Prime Minister doesn’t confuse the two.

All Regions of England get CHEAPER electricity compared to Wales. 😲
Sources:
Ofgem price cap data + breakdowns from Energy Guide, NimbleFins, and Uswitch.
🏴Wales generates twice the electricity it consumes, with the surplus exported to England.
Time to say goodbye. ❤️🏴👍
Labour blocked our proposals to devolve the Crown Estate, promising instead a commissioner for Wales.
10 months on from that pledge, the recruitment process hasn’t even started.
Labour is determined to keep Wales’ natural wealth under Westminster’s grip. https://t.co/DEgMulocYd

@Lewis_Goodall suggests hiking inheritance tax to 100% in order to reduce income tax and 'incentivise work.'
