I recognise my football club again.
The biggest threat to Christianity isn't atheism. It's fake Christianity.
A gospel with no repentance.
A faith with no obedience.
A church with no truth.
Ultraprocessed foods are loaded with salt, sugar, unhealthy fats and additives, and these sneaky ingredients are the leading culprits behind non-communicable diseases. It's time to take a closer look at what we are putting on our plates!

When last did you check your blood pressure???
Many people go about their daily lives without knowing their health status. During a recent health outreach, we found several individuals with dangerously high blood pressure, and many didn’t even know it.

(Commotion outside the clinic)
MAN: (Shouting outside) Emergency...., Where's the doctor?
DOCTOR: (Rushes out of the office) Yes, what's the problem? (Sees a man on the floor, in critical condition, and does a quick review).
MAN: He's my dad, he can't talk. He has been sick since last week. Please doctor, help us
DOCTOR: He's been sick since last week? So why are you coming now?
MAN: They said it's not hospital sickness, we've been treating it with herbs, but since yesterday, he has been sleeping
DOCTOR: Okay, from my assessment, your dad is unconscious, his legs are swollen and his breathing is fast. Does he have any medical condition like hypertension or diabetes?
MAN: God forbid doctor, me I don't know. He no de go hospital. Doctor do something nah
DOCTOR: (sighs, and quickly decided on what to do). Okay, your dad will need ICU care, and we need to do a lot of tests to know what the problem is. Go and deposit 500k now
MAN: (fell to the floor, crying). Doctor where we wan see 500k nah, abeg you no go collect 20k?
DOCTOR: (Frustrated and annoyed), Oga 20k no go do the work. Carry your father go government hospital, they fit help am there. Abeg carry am dey go there now now.
....
Many people go to hospital as a last option, after they have wasted time jumping from one chemist or herbal shop to another. Before they come to hospital, complications would have set in. And by this time, they would have exhausted their money. Hence they'd expect the hospital to give them free treatment.
Some cultural and religious practices equally plays a negative role by discouraging people from seeking care in a health facility, under the guise of "it is not a hospital sickness"
Please, develop the habit of seeking medical care, early, before the onset of complications. This increases recovery and shortens hospital stay, as well are reduces cost of treatment.
A patient came to the hospital at midnight. The followimg conversation ensued
DOCTOR; Madam i'll be admitting your child
PATIENT: Is it really that serious?
DOCTOR: Was it not serious before you left your house this night?
PATIENT; It was serious
DOCTOR, Toor, so why are you acting surprised? Will you be comfortable taking your baby home in this state?
PATIENT: (reluctantly agrees) Okay, let's admit her. But we're leaving in the morning
---
Whatever will make you to leave your house by 12am to run to the hospital is an emergency, and deserves admission. Stop acting surprised when the doctor offers admission. It can be annoying 😑
An insurance patient walks in with 4 hyperactive children
DOCTOR: Welcome Ma, who among you is sick?
WOMAN: All of us, doctor
DOCTOR: (Looks around in shock, then pointed at one of the children). You, what's your name?
CHILD: I'm Kelvin
DOCTOR: Kelvin, what's the problem? Why did you come to see a doctor
CHILD: Nothing, I'm fine
MOTHER: (Angry and snaps at the child) But you said your stomach was paining you
CHILD: (Playfully) No, that was 3 days ago. It's not paining me again
DOCTOR: (Looks at the woman sternly) Madam, who among them is sick?
WOMAN: (points at the sick child), but doctor, whenever one of them is sick, the others will also fall sick. You will treat all of them
DOCTOR: Are you saying I should give them drug which they don't need?
WOMAN: (Uneasy and silent...)
DOCTOR: I'll treat the sick child, the rest will go home. Bring them when they're sick. We're not running away from here.
....
Many parents have caused problems in their children by exposing them to unnecessary treatment.
Taking or giving people drug when they're not sick is drug abuse.
You may think you're trying to prevent illness, but you're exposing them to both drug resistance and other very serious complications.
Every drug is a poison.
Beware.
This is the best write-up I’ve seen to date on the Tax reform. Some of us have been heavily taxed over the years. In fact, under the last administration, my allowances were counted as taxable income, which decreased my overall take-home pay without any social benefits.
The real reason this tax conversation is chaotic is not that the law is unclear, but because Nigeria never built a culture of citizenship, only survival.
For years, people were trained to see the government as something to escape, not something to participate in.
So the moment the state shows up with structured rules and identification, everyone panics as if it is a raid, not governance.
In countries that people like to quote, citizens argue about how tax is spent because they already accept that tax itself is normal.
Here, people are still arguing about whether the state even has the right to ask questions.
That gap was not created by Tinubu or this reform; it was created by years of weak institutions and leaders who preferred popularity over responsibility.
What we are watching now is a clash between an old Nigeria that ran on loopholes, silence, and emotional politics, and a new Nigeria trying to run on data systems and accountability.
That clash will always be noisy because order offends those who have mastered disorder.
This is not a fight about money; it is a fight about control... who gets seen, who gets counted, and who can no longer hide behind chaos.
And that is why this reform feels personal to so many people, including myself.
Good morning, fellow Nigerians! 🇳🇬
