Women reclaiming space in peace processes at the Sisters Circle.
Welcome to the girls and women's untold stories.
"From rubble, they rise! With fear, anxiety, anger, and bitterness, they rebuild".

The sports event highlighted structural barriers such as discriminatory norms, values, and institutional practices that limit women’s options and opportunities. Cultural practices, attitudes, and gender stereotypes provide further challenges.
@UmydF
We are committed to creating platforms for trust-building and negotiating for female youth space in decision-making and policy influence using sports as an approach under the Women Preventing Violent Extremism Project in Uganda.
There is no peace between men and women in the context of division, exploitation, and resentment. To attain lasting peace, women and men need to work together as partners.
We recognize that the desired peace cannot be achieved if men and women in the communities do not work together for sustainable peace. We understand Peace-building as a process that unites people of all cultures, languages, races, ethnicities, religions, and ages.

The lack of opportunity should never be used as an excuse for under achievement. What is important is what you decide to do with given opportunities. (Rabison Shumba)
We value all the partnerships and collaboration
Our collective efforts matter in opening genuine conversations on girls' sexual reproductive health rights.
Without addressing the girl's unique challenges, their meaningful participation in peace and development will not yield significant outcomes.
It was a pleasure hosting us on @SalamTvUG to share with young women and girls about "How to deal with criticism". Did you know that criticism is sometimes constructive?
It doesn't matter how many ideas and opportunities are available, it's important to prepare and build the capacity of women and girls to actively and meaningfully participate in peace and decision processes.
Meet Ssali a student at Habib Medical School. He recognizes the gender stereotypes attached to sports as a masculine activity.
In partnership with Sisters for Peace Initiative, he has supported girls and women to understand the link between sports, mental wellness, and peace.
