Today, I was honoured to deliver the keynote address at Global Tilapia Husbandry Kenya Limited's celebration of their Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000 Version 6.)
This globally recognized food safety system strengthens organizational quality culture, equipment management, and supply chain integrity to protect consumer health. Achieving this milestone unlocks new international markets for Global Tilapia and is a testament to the continuous growth and potential of our Blue Economy. It also sets a strong precedent for our local fish processors to strive for and achieve similar standards.
Above all, this certification is definitive proof that Kenya's fish is safe and of the highest quality, suited for both our local consumers and the international market.
Congratulations, keep pushing the boundaries of excellence as you build upon this success.
