Iran’s Kurds had fighters, terrain, and motive—but stayed out of the 2026 conflict. The key reason wasn’t military—it was trust. U.S. policy in Syria signaled that Kurdish allies could be abandoned when it matters most.

Why Kurds Didn’t Join
On paper, everything aligned: armed groups, strategic geography, and shared opposition to Tehran. But distrust—linked to U.S. actions under Tom Barrack—overrode all of it.

The Syria Effect
Kurdish groups closely watched U.S. behavior in Syria:
•Pressure to integrate into a centralized state
•Signs of reduced U.S. commitment

من راستش درباره پژاک زیاد نمی‌دونم و باید بیشتر مطالعه کنم. اما خود این سخنرانی درخشانی بود به نظرم و توصیه می‌کنم گوشش کنین. چند تا نکته اصلی داشت:

- اعلام ترجیح مدل «جمهوری دموکراتیک» برای آینده ایران
- تاکید بر آزادی و حقوق زنان به عنوان یک شاخص دموکراتیک بودن جامعه
- درخواست شناسایی استنوس [به بیان خودش] ملت کرد در ساختار آینده
- تاکید بر هم‌‌پیوندی همه ساکنین ایران در آینده دموکراتیک
- پایان صحبت با شعار ژن، ژیان، آزادی

با اطمینان میگویم بخش قابل توجهی از ایرانیان و بخش بزرگی از چهره‌های اپوزیسیون هنوز نه با احزاب کوردستان و نه با اندیشه‌های آنها آشنایند.

تصویرهای ذهنی جعلی ساخته شده توسط رژیم کوردها را همواره «گروهک‌های تجزیه‌طلب» نامیده و در ادبیاتی مبتنی بر حذف و با دیوسازی از مبارزان کوردستان، مانع از شنیده شدن صدای کوردستان در باقی کشور شده است.

این یک نمونه از صداهای واقعی مبارزان ما در کوردستان است. به جرات و با اطمینان می‌گویم در هیچ کجای تاریخ مبارزاتی آزادیخواهان ایران، هرگز، تاکید میکنم هرگز چنین ادبیاتی روشن، دموکراسی‌خواهانه، برابریجو و انسانی صورت‌بندی نشده و در برنامه مبارزاتی جای نگرفته است.

احزاب کوردستان، همچون حزب دموکرات کوردستان با قدمتی بیش از هشتاد سال مبارزه هرگز چیزی جز برابری و دموکراسی نخواسته و هرگز به آن کمتر هم راضی نشده است. حزب کومله از دیرباز صدای محرومین و طبقات فرودست بوده و اکنون صدای بلند برابریخواهی، آزادی و دموکراسی در ایران است، حزب پژاک یا حیات آزاد کوردستان هم در چارچوب ایران یک چارچوب دموکراتیک برای زیست انسانی آزاد در بستر محیط زیست سالم پیشنهاد میکند.

برای عبور از استبداد باید جرات داشت و به دیگران، فارغ از سمپاشیها و دیوسازیهای سیاسی، گوش کرد و اندیشید.

ایران آزاد بدون کوردستان آزاد، بلوچستان آزاد، آذربایجان آزاد، اهواز آزاد و شهروندی آزاد چیزی جز خیال نخواهد بود.

بنابراین نباید از پرچم‌های احزاب ترسید و آنها را تجزیه ترجمه کرد. باید از میدان مین امنیتی‌سازی بیرون آمد و ایران را در چارچوب مدرن و نو آن تصور کرد، ایرانی که در آن هر یک از ملت‌هایش به صورت دموکراتیک، پر غرور و آزاد، نه بر اساس اجبار بلکه در بستر اعتماد و اشتیاق در کنار هم یک کشور مشترک، یک قدرت سیاسی مشترک و یک صدای تازه مشترک باشند.

The Alliance of Political Parties of Iranian Kurdistan held a high-level meeting on Monday afternoon, during which senior members convened to address critical organizational and strategic matters.

Key administrative decisions were reached, including the ratification of the Alliance’s internal bylaws, the official approval of its logo, and the establishment of guiding principles for managing field operations during the transitional period.

Diplomatic strategy and the Alliance’s external representation and public profile abroad were also discussed at length. The meeting concluded with the formal handover of the Alliance’s rotating leadership to the next designated party, underscoring the organization’s commitment to structured and democratic internal governance.
