Hey fob fans! We at the archive are looking for more people who are interested in archiving fob media- lost media, merch, web pages, photos etc. If you’d like to chat with more fans and help us uncover fob history, join our discord: https://t.co/gj3bb3tTLb
Unfortunately, a lot of FC-related media is lost as of now, such as their website’s messageboards and multiple vlogs. We’re constantly working on efforts to find these lost gems and more FOB-related lost media. Once again, a big thanks to @tossmyambitions for voicing this post!
For how influential FUCK CITY was in the Fall Out Boy fandom over a decade ago, it seems to be mostly forgotten by the average fan, even though Andy and his buddies are all still good friends. We wanted to educate fans on some of the FC lore we’ve unearthed with some research.
hey everyone! just a reminder that are looking for some new admins. applications will close THIS SUNDAY.
we could use more timezones on our team. please don't hesitate to ask us any questions! check out the specifics on the form: https://t.co/9Uczjbu3Jo
Recently, we managed to attract Andy’s attention on his livestream with beyondthetats after he mentioned having been in hardcore bands in high school. We’ve done some extensive research on the beginnings of Andy’s participation in the scene and are here to share it all with you!

Thank you to our amazing mod @tossmyambitions, who both voiced this reel and provided a lot of useful background knowledge about other hardcore bands in the Chicago and Milwaukee scenes!
Part 2 about Fuck City coming in a few days!
Does anyone remember Fall Out Boy on the AT&T Blue Room? We're having trouble finding any footage of this online... but it's always good to have a second set of eyes. It's not saved on Wayback, as far as we could tell (including extensive inspect elements).
@grlatrockshow https://t.co/a8WnXlPHiP This comp has Grinding Process (although not when Patrick was actually in that band) and a few others, like the New Jacks, which Jeff Warren was a member. (You may know him as the vocalist for Knockout who sang on Grenade Jumper.)
@grlatrockshow https://t.co/E3YOxixPm0 If you’d like to know more about the Glenview scene that Patrick was involved in, here’s footage of the record release show for a 1998 GVHC comp that was just recently digitized by DCHC! Features bands Patrick was friends with/tried to get in.
There was a DuPage punk band named Optimus Prime that the DuPage Hardcore Archive has documented. We were looking into them, and found the page of a DIFFERENT punk band from Milwaukee named Optimus Prime. Their drummer is the drummer for The Academy Is...
@TheAcademyIs We'd always be willing to help in your search if you have any more info! We've found other presumably lost footage before so it's not out of the realm of possibility. Sisky knows of us- tell him to hit us up lol
Shoutout to @glassslipping for getting Patrick to talk about this! Although he doesn’t mention the song by name in the clip, we know it’s been on his mind to begin with ;) Also a special shoutout to our server member Jamie for providing some of the earliest info in this search.
FOB fans may know that Patrick was “auditioned” for the band because he had sent Joe some MP3 files of songs he had worked on. What exactly these songs were was a complete mystery to fans. With the research that we have conducted, we now are close to finding one of these songs.
