AI writes the code.
You still take the blame when it breaks in prod.
PR's are increasing. Confidence isn’t.
Code reviews don’t catch system-level impact. Tests don’t know what to test.
So we merge… and hope.
Building Merge Protect to fix this:
Before merge, it tells you:
• What can break
• Which business flows are impacted
• What tests should run (and runs them)
• If latency will regress
No more guessing.
Opening beta soon.

Just started testing a new kind of AI tool that actually sees my screen.
Been trying out something different this week: an AI assistant called Focusbae that functions more like a coworker than a chatbot.
The core idea is unique, it's screen-aware.
You can share your screen (or just talk), and it understands the context of what you're working on.
A few ways it's changing my solo work sessions:
• Instant note-taking: While debugging, I can just say "note this error" instead of alt-tabbing.
• Contextual reminders: "Remind me to follow up on this PR in 2 hours" actually works because it knows what "this PR" refers to.
• Real-time guidance: Stuck on a confusing form or dashboard? It can guide you through it step-by-step.
The most interesting part is the memory system.
It learns your work patterns over time. "The project" on day one is a question; by day 30, it knows you mean the "Q4 Website Redesign."
It’s not perfect, still early days—but the shift from prompt-based to context-aware assistance feels significant.
It’s the closest thing yet to having a pair programmer or a productivity-focused teammate in the room.
Thoughts on this screen-aware, memory-based approach to AI tools?
Feels like we're moving beyond simple chat interfaces.
