@jeremyct I kinda agree but you'd hope if you are paying childcare you have a partner bringing in another $30+yr in income on top of the $110k. But yeah it's tough out here when you put on your big boy pants. Pay for a big boy degree and decide to have a baby boy with your baby mamma
@Physocles@middle_class_us What you conveniently fail to mention is that it's a 1.5l turbo with direct injection. DI is infamous for allowing for carbon buildup on valves because of its design. Also it's $30k plus another $3k in tax, tags, title, additional insurance, 6% interest for non cash buyers
@middle_class_us Some of us realize today's cars are a POS made for planned obsolescence and my 21 yo car is more reliable. But you are more than welcome to keep buying a new car every 5 years at $50k a pop, nobody is stopping you.
@jonbrooks Yeah I dunno, my city went from like 30k population to 50k in the last 13 years. I don't know how people are paying $800k for these homes with the local job market. I honestly think everyone is a realtor or working remotely from home. Jobs typically don't pay well here
@WallStreetApes Epa made them try for higher mpg standard which brought things like di, hybrids, ohc, dod, cvt, etc. Somewhere along the way oems realized the more shit they add the more likely it will break and your are more likely to buy a new car. That's where we are at.not all Farley's fault
@JDW303i@creativeburne It's actually not a fact. I literally ran the numbers and he is off by at $1-4m lol. You can't believe the lies entertainers try to pass as fact.
@creativeburne It's a flat out lie. I ran the numbers using the actual s&p returns. At 5% it was $500k, at 10% it was a little over $1m. Caleb seems to have so much distain for older generations because he doesn't talk to normal people very often and concentrates on people with mental issues
@freezymfe@Jrake510@AaronUniversal@WallStreetApes So is car insurance supposed to repair your car when the paint fades? Replace the convertible top when it developes a tear? Replace your tires when they go bald after 50k miles? Honestly roofing replacement fraud is a big part of why insurance rates are way up in Florida
@TheRabbitHole Might be partly due to air as well. With Ben Afflecks ai production company selling to Netflix for $600m last month lots of jobs will be at risk
@TheThurston13 Yeah, it really is garbage. My son bought it for me for Christmas, I played 1 game and removed it. It's hard to believe how bad the series has gotten since bf1
@xpertfusion3@ModernWarzone As a player that is 50 with about 1000 wins in the original blackout on ps4 the 2.0 experience is a terrible one. Also as you get older you fingers don't work as well as when you are 30/40 and your reaction time is worse too. Hard to just "get gud" when your body won't allow it
@ModernWarzone As a 50yo casual player on ps5 it is a TERRIBLE experience. Blackout was console only, no PC. You say everyone is on a level playing field but it's not exactly true with rng particularly in quads when dropping with randoms. Map is beautiful, but bo2.0 is in bad shape
@douglassmackey You are correct. Still driving my 06 caravan. Faded paint, some surface rust but she runs & drives great and insurance is less than $800yr.
@bdquinn Government takes 12% of my pay for federal income tax. Then they take 6.5% for social security, 2% for Medicare, then they take 4% for property taxes, then they take another 8% for state sales tax. Maybe not quite 40% but pretty damn close
