@mangorugby And the promise you so blithely dismiss was part of the discussions to allow Warriors to move the pitch and build permanent stands in exchange for a new smaller track in the back field. Now they are refusing to replace the track as part of that plan. They are not decent people
@mangorugby No it is not. The bends are frequently closed. The indoor track is increasingly taken over by the warriors. And the 3G pitch is useless for field events. It is virtually impossible to stage events during the athletics season
@CryptoMoth3@MarkPalmerST@TimesSport The plan was for exactly that but SRU / Warriors have once again reneged on that promise and now just want the stadium for free. I really don't understand the fans attachment to the place, it is an awful rugby stadium with no amenities and rubbish transport links.
@WillDevEdwards@kwalsh96 The stadium is used every day by hundreds of locals for athletics and football. It would get a lot more use for events if the warriors would kindly remove their “temporary” stands
@MarkPalmerST@TimesSport About time GCC charged the warriors market rent for the stadium. The rent hasn’t increased since the warriors took up residence. And while they are at it, the Warriors could maybe paid for cleaning after matches rather than leaving that to the council they are already rinsing
@MarkPalmerST@TimesSport The same Warriors who demanded they be given the whole stadium despite it being a community facility, with a promise to replace the athletics track with a new facility, only to renege on that promise. Bad actors acting in bad faith do not deserve the benefit of the doubt.
