Trying a new thing!
I will share a mini review for games I complete. First post will be the review in question, followed by a thread of some of my favorite screenshots from the game (edited or not).
I won't give the games a rating, just pros and cons.
@shinobi602 Ngl, it's been some time since I've bought a game physical but going to the store and grabbing a copy of a long anticipated game is something I'm gonna do more often now that we got the bad news.
This time of year is always great for gamers. But I still miss the E3 days. The Sony, Ubisoft and Xbox conferences were SO much better than what we have today. These were spectacles and the hype was bleeding through the screen. SGF and State of Play are a fraction of this to me.
I feel crazy seeing all the negative reactions about the new God of War. I wasn't convinced at first but once Faye gets taken prisonner til the end of the showcase, I was sold. I like sidekick characters like Mimir, so I'm into the cube x ribbons followers.
@erasmus_magnus@GenePark 100% agree. The new trilogy is very good but it's a natural transition to what we got with First Light. The biggest change imo was the music, from Jesper Kyd to spy-like score. Blood Money still reigns supreme for me as a perfect blend of slightly silly but still dark.
@IamTheEagleHTM Bashing a game whose only fault is that it isn't for you? Does everything have to be cattered to your preferences? Let artists express themselves the way they want and if it's not your thing, move on. Wishing for the failure of a product of passion is beyond me...
@CohhCarnage - Verticality/flexibility in the level design (levels to a station, stories for buildings, etc.)
- Small but dense HUB world (sense of scale makes it very realistic and lived in)
- Good backtrack
@SynthPotato Performances were rough in last year State of Play but I didn't doubt IOI one bit, unlike a lot of people 🙂↔️ Their track record is very good, even Mini Ninjas.
