Today marks 31 days since children and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Nigeria were abducted.

On May 15, 2026, some unknown gunmen attacked Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota schools and abducted 46 children and 7 teachers. One teacher Mr Michael Oyedokun was b*headed by the terrorists, six teachers are still in captivity.

We are hopeful and we are too optimistic that these people will come back home alive. We appeal to the State government, federal government and Ogbomoso traditional council to please act fast and complete the ongoing efforts to bring these people home to join their families safely.

I run a non profit aimed at fighting period poverty. Asides going on outreaches, I give out sanitary pads on a daily basis to women and young girls that GENUINELY can’t afford it.
