@amy_suart Aww 😑 sadly we have also been contacted by the MoD, who own the land and have been told to remove the swings. We haven't yet, but we will have to remove the rope from the tree. Sorry we can't put the swings back....

The MoD have informed us that the rope swings at Paraker wood must be removed. Sadly, we will have to comply with their request, when weather allows us to get up there safely. 🙁

Yesterday we went back to #Folkestoneropeswings at Paraker wood - we adjusted the seat of the big swing to be slightly higher off the ground and replaced the small swing too! Have fun!

We noticed the smaller of the #Folkestoneropeswings at the Warren was hooked up in the tree, so we rescued it! Of course we tested both swings too... 😉

A new seat and steel cable are now installed... This time the end of the steel cable is fused together to be more vandal resistant.

Yesterday we completely replaced the large swing at Paraker wood. It now has a double anchor on the tree to make it as safe as possible!

Surrounding the swings at Paraker woods, someone has decided to fell a lot of small trees. Some clean up work is also needed. We'll try and get down there with chainsaw and many hands to clean up the mess left by inconsiderate vandals.

We visited the swings at Paraker woods to see what needs fixing. The seats of the swings are gone and the steel cable is damaged. We will be back to fix these as soon as we can.
