#IMCTC concluded in the Republic of #Maldives, its five-day training program “Capacity Building for Imams and Preachers” in the capital Malé, in the presence of the Chief of the Defense Force of Maldives, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Hilmy, with the participation of a select group of Imams, sermon-givers and preachers as part of the strategic initiative “Moderation” aimed at enabling religious leaders to disseminate moderation, tolerance and counter extreme discourse through sharing experiences and joint cooperation in tackling extremist ideologies.

La #CIMCT a lancé, dans la capitale Malé, en République des #Maldives, le programme de formation du personnel religieux dans le cadre de l’initiative «Modération», sous le titre « Renforcement des capacités des imams et des prédicateurs ». La cérémonie d’inauguration s’est déroulée en présence de Son Excellence le Ministre des Affaires islamiques des Maldives Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, et le Secrétaire général de la Coalition, le général de division, Mohamed bin Saïd Al-Moghedi. L’événement a également réuni plusieurs ministres, dignitaires et ambassadeurs accrédités en République des Maldives. Ce programme s’inscrit dans le cadre des initiatives stratégiques de la CIMCT visant à ancrer un discours religieux modéré et à lutter contre l’extrémisme.
