Update, as of today no charges have been filed against Shannon Miranda. Laws may not stop them but we can by sharing their deeds such that no one will send homeless animals to a “for profit” supposed non-profit death camp.
Please share if interested. There are also numerous petitions to get their non-profit 501(c)(3) status revoked, support prosecution etc. https://t.co/2oUG2IOGKD has several. Just search for their name.
Please consider sending a message to the White House and Sharing this post. Ty.

Miranda's Rescue Animal Abuse Case and contents of a letter I sent today to several Orgs.
I am writing concerning Miranda’s Rescue in Humboldt California. Shannon Miranda, Founder and Owner of Miranda’s rescue has not yet been criminally charged with animal abuse. Evidence collected and statements from whistleblowers/former employees, raise serious concerns about the motives and practices of Miranda.
U.S.A. laws exist with loopholes allowing abusers to avoid consequences.
Humboldt County Sheriff's Office executed search warrants, June/July 2026. Evidence below from Sources; Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, Public News Articles, the FBI and Public Google Search
Mass Graves: Excavation using ground-penetrating radar uncovered 117 intact dog remains in deep holes, showing layers from different times.
Trauma: Preliminary veterinary exams found bullet fragments and gunshot wounds on many of the remains.
Items Recovered: Authorities found 21 skulls, hundreds of scattered bones, six loose microchips, and over 600 dog collars inside a suspected killing area in a barn.
Missing Animals: Records show the facility took in roughly 900 animals from California shelters starting in January 2025, but confirmed only 116 adoptions, leaving over 700 animals unaccounted for.
Activist Discovery: Animal advocates initially trespassed and exhumed eight dogs with fresh gunshot wounds.
Miranda’s Rescue is under Federal Investigation for Fraud and Felony Animal Abuse:
Agencies: Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, FBI, USDA, California Department of Justice, and the US Attorney's Office.
Core Allegations: Investigators are probing potential fraud, conspiracy, theft, and felony animal abuse. Authorities allege Miranda accepted hundreds of dogs (and associated compensation/surrender fees) from various public shelters and municipalities while hundreds of animals remain unaccounted for.
Physical Evidence: Search warrants and property excavations recovered dozens of canine remains with gunshot wounds, hundreds of collars, and bone fragments.
Miranda’s Response: Shannon Miranda has denied any illegal killing or financial fraud, claiming he legally euthanized aggressive or medically distressed animals, though he admitted to poor record-keeping.
Permit & Operational Status: The rescue's conditional use permit was suspended again, October 1, 2026, by Humboldt County officials.
Employee/Whistleblower Statements:
Jesse Armstrong (Employee, 2004–2006): Armstrong described a specific area of the rescue referred to by staff as "death row". He recalled the facility’s owner, Shannon Miranda, asking staff to "dump dogs" and specifically remembered seeing a husky mix in the bucket of a tractor after it suddenly vanished from its kennel. Source: San Francisco Chronicle
Former Staff: Reports submitted to investigators and animal advocates detailed that Shannon Miranda routinely directed staff to dump dead dogs—including a Yorkie, numerous pit bulls, and puppies—directly into the Eel River. This specific dumping practice allegedly occurred for at least 25-years. Source: LinkedIn, Crystal Heath
Dana Heuschkel (Former Office Manager): Heuschkel, who worked there for 13-months, stated dogs lived in "bugs, mildew and filth" while staff struggled under chaotic conditions. She noted a severe lack of operational accountability.
A neighbor Jennifer Raymond, uncovered the first eight dead dogs—one of which was verified via microchip to have been a dog transferred from Oakland Animal Services that Miranda claimed had been "adopted out."
Please consider Blacklisting Miranda’s Rescue. Ultimately, Our Legal system may allow Shannon Miranda to operate, to be determined. We do not need to wait for a legal outcome.
POTUS: You have made an impact per the (PACT) Act. Please continue. An estimated 150-200 million American adults own a pet.
Angela Levin is asking why Meghan Markle didn’t report her father to the US police.
Remember when Angela admitted to Louis Theroux that a nurse had told her Jimmy Savile was abusing disabled children, but she kept quiet and didn’t pass the information on to the investigation team or to the police?

Some Happier News 💛
A new airline called Bark Airlines will soon be taking its first flight on Thursday from New York City to Los Angeles.
This airline caters towards our canine friends and will allow pets to travel with their owners instead of being in crates in the cargo.
I absolutely love this idea and hope they accept @Dogecoin 💛

I believe airlines should designate a few flights with a dog symbol which indicates there MAY be a dog on the flight. I’m also curious about the number. Is it 1-per flight? Maybe 2 if in a carrier?
I also think a passenger can designate should they chose a dog friendly flight to not sit with a dog.
Give people the option to choose.
@YHWH_Vassal@emkenobi Don’t parents teach anymore? Employee consequences for bad behavior?
By the time you go to college (and before) one ought to know assaulting and sexual abuse are off limits behavior.
It’s part of the social culture of college. They host parties, often bands. Just because they go dues not justify take type behavior. That’s predatory and premeditated.
Sending out her photo is illegal BTW.
Sending to a group saying, “you can walk in and whip it out” is solicitation.
@coryunbroken@emkenobi Risky but going to a party and drinking in college is like breathing. Being drunk is vulnerable but it does not justify the behavior of men to rape or sexually assault anyone.
By your words anyone whose drinks is fair game? Anywhere not just a frat house.
@OrynSystems@emkenobi Yes, when I visited they actually pointed out where students have jumped. I thought that was bizarre and really morbid.
I’m glad o decided not to attend.
