@The_Davos_Man@ZontarAlt Politics is downstream of culture. Both left and right know this, which is why they engage in culture war bullshit in the first place
@ravinenox@theholyman74862@The_Davos_Man If the UN is inviting the Iranian regime's foreign minister to address the UNHRC, then no it can't.
Sanctions can encourage Iranians to rebel against the IRGC but w/o significant defections either among the elite or from the army, regime change can't happen purely from within.
@SandyofCthulhu The way they made AoE4 a re-tread of the medieval period (instead of moving the timeline forward) really irritated me. Would be interesting to hear what Ensemble originally planned for AoE4 and 5, either in a video or a post.
@RavignonCh @joyful_union@Der_Parrot You guys don't deserve credit for not doing another mass famine + China is 1 sanction away from another famine anyway. The CCP made Chinas economy very dependent on energy imports brought in via overseas shipping lanes guarded by the US navy (agriculture is an industrial sector).
@RavignonCh @joyful_union@Der_Parrot So is actual socialism when you cause a famine that starves millions to death during peacetime, kill millions more to shore up a cult of personality when the survivors are understandably pissed at you, and then just adopt free market reforms in 1979 anyway?
@RavignonCh @joyful_union@Der_Parrot Funny how you commies will either claim the CCP as one of your own, or denounce it as right-wing whenever it suits you.
@RavignonCh @joyful_union@Der_Parrot "The US is an imperialist agent, perpetuating a system that keeps most of humanity destitute."
That actually quite perfectly sums what you commies have always done, the moment you get power.
@RavignonCh But the chart from the article lists the CPI from the Bureau of Labor Statistics as one of its sources?
My overall point here is, when you look at compensation that isn't only wages (healthcare benefits, etc), and don't arbitrarily use CPI, you get a far less disparate picture.
@RavignonCh That EPI article you got the first graph from, it uses two different indexes. Net domestic product to measure productivity, and CPI for hourly compensation. It's an apples to oranges comparison. Leave it to a socialist to use stats that dishonestly gerrymanders its definitions...
@RavignonCh It isn't, that's just outcome bias. Unequal outcomes=/=exploitation.
Impotently LARPing as a socialist revolutionary on the internet is in line with which 'western tradition'? Vatniks and wumaos attack us from the outside, but it's you socialists who rot the west from within.
