- Shanghai-based Xingshu Tiansuan has launched the first satellites of its Tiansuan Constellation, aiming to build a 1,000-satellite network that performs AI computing directly in orbit instead of sending raw data back to Earth.

- Processing data in space can reduce transmission bottlenecks, lower latency, improve efficiency & cut reliance on ground-based data centers, especially for Earth observation & AI workloads.

- The constellation will be deployed in three phases as an open satellite computing platform, marking one of China's most ambitious commercial space-computing projects to date.
