@SklifosDergen@ehrenloserAlman@djemloup Pricing can vary. For an AC you need the smallest grade, but when working on big building AC, walkin freezers and stuff then you need a bigger one, which is more expensive as there are add on courses.
IIRC you also need to pick regular refresh courses.
@SklifosDergen@ehrenloserAlman@djemloup It is difficult to get the required training if you don’t work in a related field or have at least a „Gesellenbrief“, yes.
It is usually run by business organizations, like IHK or Handwerkammer and they like to guard access to their members.
@ehrenloserAlman@djemloup A few years ago I bought an R32 for heating when the ukraine attack happened - got help from a friend with the legal papers, but mostly got him involved as he had the tools at hand.
Now I can’t even buy that same AC anymore - at least not from the same dealer.
@ehrenloserAlman@djemloup Saw that post later.
In the meantime dealers even ask for papers when buying.
I got an R22 in the late 90s for my server room and installed it myself - yes the manual said I shouldn’t, but buying a ceiling lamp also says I should call an electrician.
@ehrenloserAlman@djemloup It is an EU regulation, so must be same for france.
You know what is dumb as hell - the F gas regulation includes propane as well.
You can buy a big multi kg bottle of gas for camping, but are not allowed to open the valve on your prefilled few gram propane AC.
