We built and launched our own feed algo for the @baseapp. Sharing some early learnings from digging into the data:
1/ Content from people you follow converts at 5x the rate of general trending/discover content. Trust > virality.
2/ The feed, which wasn't initially designed as a high-intent surface, is still driving nearly half as many trades as our dedicated trading surfaces.
3/ We expected there would be some content that drives engagement but not trades (or vice versa). But they're quite tightly correlated. The stuff people interact with or watch is the stuff they're likely to trade.
