A Swiss hotel once displayed a list of special rules exclusively for Indian guests which I personally saw and was appalled.

Today, videos of garba in restaurants, loud conversations in airports, and turning aircraft cabins into picnic spots keep doing the rounds. Even in Davos, an Indian businessman blasted Punjabi music in a club so the whole town could hear it, calling it “soft power” but to everyone’s annoyance.

Japan earned global admiration through their courtesy and civic sense. If India wants to be a true global superpower, the world should remember Indians for its excellence, consideration and respect for others.

Our civic sense seriously needs to be upgraded.

बजेट पछि बालेन सरकार डिजिटल स्टाटसको युगबाट, वैश्य युगको कठोर धरतीमा पुगेको छ।अर्थमंत्री स्वर्णिम वाग्लेले, बजेट भाषणको पहिलो वाक्यमै नेपालका प्रथम अर्थमंत्री सुवर्ण शम्शेरको नाम लिएर आजकाल अहोरात्र ‘नया नया नया’ भनेर फलाकिरहने डिग्री भएका र नभएका भाट,मुर्ख, अनपढ, नौटङी, गंवारहरुलाई र ���फुलाई जान्ने ठान्ने बिद्वान, विरोधीहरु समेत गरी दुबै थरिलाई एकै पटक सम्झएका छन – ‘अचानक सर्वथा नया चमत्कार केही गर्न सकिन्न। सब थोक निरन्तरताको जगको परिणाम हो।‘

अर्थमंत्रीले केही क्षेत्रमा नीतिगत सुधारको राम्रो सुरुवात गरेका छन । त्यसका लागी धन्यवाद। त्यस बाहेक अहिले फगत यतिमात्र भन्न सकिन्छ – जुन बिशाल साइजको बजेट उनले आकर्षक शब्दमा ल्याएका छन, त्यस्को कार्यान्वयन साच्चिकै गर्न सकियो भने स्वर्णिम वाग्लेको नाम इतिहासका ती स्मरणीय अर्थमंत्रीमा रुपमा दर्ज हुनेछन, जस्ले नेपालमा अर्थतन्त्रको धारलाई मोडने खालका बजेट दिए । जस्तै, पंचायत व्यवस्थाका प्रकाशचन्द्र लोहनी, बहदलका महेश आचार्य , भरतमोहन अधिकारी र रामश���ण महत ।

अब बालेन सरकारको मुल्याङकन उनको फेसबुक स्टाटसका शब्दबाट होइन, अर्थतन्त्रका निर्मम अंकबाट हुनेछ।रोजगारी,निवेश र निजी क्षेत्रको आत्मबिश्वास बढे जयजयकार गर्न लोभ नगरौ। ती प्रगति गर्न नसके चमेलीको गीत गाउने कोही नया आउनेछ ।

फेसबुकमा तथानाम स्टाटस ठोक्ने काम अ�� बालेनबाट उनका भित्रिया मित्र हर्क सामाङपाङमा सरेको छ। नाथे ४७ बिलियन डलरको GDP हुने देशमा रमाइलो भइरहनु पर्छ, जस्ले गरे पनि हुन्छ ।

रवि लामिछाने भारत भ्रमणमा जाने समाचार आए पछी, बालेनले लामा लामा भाषण सुन्ने र आफ्ना पार्टीका सांसदसंग हात हास्दै मिलाउने काम सुरु गर्नु भएको छ । अब यस्ता काम बढदै जाने छन । वैश्य युगमा यस्तै हो ।

बजेटमा सरकारी कर्मचारीको तलब बढेको छ, वहाहरुलाई बधाई छ । बाकी���ो लागी अरु केही नभए पनि महङाई थप नबढोस ।
त्यस बाहेक, आजको दिनमा धैरै महत्वाकांक्षी देखिने यो बजेटको सफल कार्यान्वयनका लागी अर्थमंत्री स्वर्णिम वाग्लेलाई शुभकामना । हेरौ ।

USCIS just dropped PM-602-0199. The new line: adjustment of status is "extraordinary" relief, and choosing it over consular processing can count against you, even for H-1B and L-1 workers with dual intent.
Section 245(a) does not say adjustment is disfavored; it says the Secretary "may" adjust status in his discretion, which is the same discretionary structure Congress uses for many forms of relief that are not treated as extraordinary disfavor. More importantly, Congress has repeatedly amended section 245 to expand adjustment, including section 245(i), section 245(k), the LIFE Act, and the dual-intent provisions for H and L nonimmigrants. The memo's reading that AOS is a grudging exception cannot be squared with a statute Congress has consistently broadened.
