reminder that the whole point of ao3 is the tagging system. without it, an archive becomes a complete mess and impossible to navigate, making fanworks inaccessible. if you can, always choose to help maintain it.

I've noticed that a lot of people on the Fanfiction and Ao3 subreddits are very resistant to tagging anything beyond characters, ships, and applicable archive warnings. They say "well books aren't tagged". Babes, this is not a library, it's an ARCHIVE
