OMCs pay 5% GST on ethanol & pass on that 5% cost to you as there is no INPUT TAX CREDIT on Petrol in which they blend Ethanol.

Despite passing on the GST tax burden on you; the government charges VAT not just on 80% petrol but also on top of the 5% GST for the 20% Ethanol, which is already tax paid by you!

So on 20% Ethanol you pay 5% GST plus tax on top of that GST! This is criminal double taxation!!

Too long, India has had a free ride on US' tail. It's pay back time, sport.

' Platform America " is wanting your margins back with it.

Our US, UK, EU surpluses are going to shrink: see UK car imports into India.

We will become ever more dependent on Capital flows. They again come largely from America. And China will step in to fill the gap.

A friend of mine said 10 years ago: " India has no LT option but to become a colony of China ".

It's happening with our yawning trade deficit vs them.

And reducing surpluses with the developed bloc.

What this means for the INR, I shudder to think.

We now live in a Jobssian " Reality Distortion Field"

But nobody else in India even cares. Stray dogs, IPL, et al, keep us busy.

Daily delusion has become " Daily Dommon Sense "

Daily Common Sense has become Delusion.

And one last thing: America likes Winners.

America loves fightbacks.

Trump reluctantly admires North Korea and now,Iran.
