I have been conscious about writing only about verified news or information, so despite my joy and excitement of the ICC warrant of arrest against Rodrigo Duterte — I didn’t post anything. But this time Duterte confirmed it himself!

If I am being honest, since we have been waiting too long, I am more interested in the locally filed cases and action of the Department of Justice (which are also taking too long if you ask me). But this? If true… is one welcomed development. Justice for the thousands of deaths during the Duterte administration’s war on drugs.

Duterte has always been popular with the OFWs… I will give him that. Long term observations and personal stories actually attribute this popularity to the Duterte social media content creators which the OFWs spend an awful lot of time watching.

But this Hongkong event? These are members of Quiboloy’s KOJC! When I first heard about the Hongkong event, I sincerely thought it’s in Central District, Victoria Park, where Filipino OFWs like to hang-out. Simple google search of KOJC Hongkong will show you that it is their usual venue and it is their event.

Some even claimed that there are 500,000 thousand attendees there, when DMW recorded that in 2024, there are just 205,000 in Hongkong. When will the DDS stop spreading fake news?

Duterte and their supporters downplayed the ICC warrant of arrest, I think it is only a matter of time to know if the Dutertes are brave enough to face this. Or will they seek refuge in China as we all expect? Who knows?
