A real hero from Kargil war. Seeing this video after a long long time and it still feels like his face is so familiar. Don't know what stuff folks like him are made of. Hope we are worthy of his sacrifice.
Still remember watching this interview in mesmerised silence. Capt. #VikramBatra, Param Vir Chakra. Right before the recapture of Pt.4875 on this day 21 years ago. India would change forever. He was only 24. 🇮🇳🔥
What we know about one can help us resolve the others.
This is one of the ideas we're exploring in building our voice AI stack for India. Because AI built for India must understand not just our languages, but how we actually speak!
India doesn't speak in one language. Often, it doesn't even speak in one language at a time.
Building voice AI for India requires a different way of thinking about speech.
Transcription, transliteration and code-mixing are deeply interconnected problems.
As a kid back then I didn't even know what the term fixing meant. Azhar helped us see it in real on live TV. We must all thank him because we wasted less time on cricket after that.
Before becoming a serial match-fixer and a corrupt politician, Mohammad Azharuddin was a jihadi radical.
In the 1992 Benson & Hedges World Cup match between India and New Zealand in Dunedin, Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin dropped New Zealand batsman Mark Greatbatch, who went on to score 73 runs and helped New Zealand win the match. He also dropped another batter who scored crucial 32.
Because of this defeat, India was knocked out of the World Cup, and Pakistan eventually won its first World Cup. This particular catch that led to India’s defeat happened four days after the Babri demolition. He did this just to deny Indians especially Hindus any happiness. Congress has historically rewarded such extremists
Forget about models, tell me how many non-AI software products developed by Indian companies, do you prefer over the western/eastern? 🤔
Yes, while there certainly is a dearth of capital but the bigger issue imho is, the dearth of obsession to create something best in the word.
A silver lining is that I am trying to bring that obsession to product development. The quest to be the best - nothing less suffices.
If you visited us in IMC, you would have experienced a glimpse of that. One obsession at a time - a few success stories and karvan ban jayega 🙏

@JackRangaswami Well is not good enough to me. In fact, that how we console ourselves. Obsession to be the best that everyone feels jealous of or afraid of - never or rarely happened.
@vinayakh@nixxin@jackerhack India’s telecom regulator, TRAI, sided with public sentiment. In February 2016, TRAI officially banned differential pricing for data, effectively ending Free Basics in India and protecting an open, democratic internet.
Obviously public sentiment played a major role.
I don’t believe Indians comprehend Elon Musk’s intentions with @SpaceX in India. The primary goal is to provide internet access essentially free for those who genuinely require it, with the ultimate aim of advancing humanity.
I understand they may not be accustomed to this kind of philanthropy, considering the limited social consciousness among the affluent in India.
Additionally, Elon Musk possesses a rather dark sense of humor, and it’s important to remember that people need to lighten up.
Someone's right to protest shouldn't be an excuse to infringe upon others' right to go to work/school/college/hospital/anywhere else safely, without hassle.
Is to so hard to understand? Am I wrong?
You are never too old for your parents. Even at 83, my father still doesn't miss a chance to drop me off at the railway station, and stay there at the platform till the train leaves.
