@Forcer69 PC release with frame rate bump and couple of QoL is enough. I’m all in for it, but they are probably not doing it. I would also like D2 Classic up to Forsaken with all seasons, but that’s even less feasible. :)
@tomwarren Forcing studio with the legacy of ID to do only SP games is very short sited. Besides they just did 10 years of Doom, but even if it's not new IP, why not Quake or Heretic (TPS?) or Hexen with what they learned from TDA. Personally I want new Quake with proper campaign and multi.
@JNavok Sure, I just don't see the potential in Halo anymore and from outside perspective Bethesda/Obsidian doesn't seem to have much better production pipeline. I also wonder is it wise to be dependent from Epic in mid term, besides the monopoly, they also hold a competitor platform.
@PaulTassi@Forbes Not happening. 😕 Sony had 2 year window after 10th anniv. and TFS and didn’t push for it. And the more I think about it, the more I believe the Sony “revenge plot” - not out of spite, but in order to force them to abandon Tiger and use Unreal. I mean just look at ID and Xbox.
@kiwitalkz No, I just didn't like the idea of "melee" combat in games with first person perspective. Same thing is stopping me from the new Indiana Jones game, but DOOM TDA at least I bought on sale from GMG. Also in general I prefer the "techno" story of 2016 instead the pivot to fantasy.
@Mattincho@TheDoomDominion Well… I meant it more from the perspective of FPS games and also more on the PvP side. I just can’t imagine Quake, Doom or Wolf running on something else or Bungie shooters. But in any case I wish success to Digital Extremes and their games. For sure they are very important now.
@PaulTassi Nothing mentioned for PC frame drops/stutter. I’ve read some comments that is only on Steam which is kinda weird to me. I hope they will find a way, because it’s definitely something from the MoT update.
@NineCol@tuncerdeniz The problem of Marathon? Look at the size of the core teams who shipped OW or Apex or Helldivers 2, they grew only after they found success. By all means Marathon is good game but imho for what it offers now, it should be made by 100-150 ppl, not 350-400.
@oryxeleven Imho only people who are good at both could tell… which I’m not. :) Fighters are very hard, but my biased answer (as Quake loyalist) is towards FPS, just because I value more the freedom of movement. Plus many FPS games are played in teams which requires different kind of skill.
@PaulTassi @RyGilliam No🙂Many reasons, but mostly - it didn't felt like Destiny. Also lately Bungie forgot how to make good campaigns, again a lot of "go to" and "speak to", the flow isn't there... and the medium suggests more agency, I want to be involved, not just be the witness (pun not intended).
@PaulTassi Isn’t part of this due to the end of the free week? Bought the game last week, so I don’t know when it ended but I thought it’s until reset.
@Evajuicer@PaulTassi 🙄
Clearly what I meant was “As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games.” https://t.co/sRtYFIgvXh
