Polo Field Cyclists - our favorite track will be closed October 18 through November 5 for the Outside Lands festival. @RecParkSF is already taking this opportunity to improve and maintain the track, clearing and sweeping the low-lying areas. Thanks!

This Friday, Sept. 17, your favorite cycling track will be closed from 7:00 am until noon for a special event. Plan accordingly and see you soon!

We measured the Polo Field Cycling Track with a surveyor’s wheel. It’s 3,592.3 feet (1094.9 meters) along the center line. The old estimate of 1.1 km was pretty accurate. The line along the inside fence would be 53 feet shorter (π * 17 feet).

Since the Polo Field Cycling Track will be open all hours for the next 2 months, I think it would be great to bring back Thursday Night Poloton Paceline. This used to be a regular thing about 10 years ago. Come by anytime from 5:30PM to 7:30PM for fast pace line laps. @fopfct

Good news! @RecParkSF is adding some pavement stencils to help keep pedestrians off the track. The track may be reduced to one lane for the next few days as the work proceeds.

@mcshimizu Great! There's no problem with your plan. The traffic flow is pretty obvious. If your group is going slowly, it's good to keep the left lane clear.
