Most of mainland Greece is either more than or as genetically European as Southern Italy. If you’re gonna split hairs about Greeks you’d have to do it to them too.

There wasn’t intermarriage left, right, and center, and if there was rape then the children became Turks rather than being absorbed locally

It had more of an effect on Turks in anatolia than the reverse, and almost nothing in the mainland. Data is available.

@FortressLugh Wrong. Ashkenazim are at most 65-70% European for some groups, likely closer to 55-60% on average. Sicilians a bit above so could be non-White. Southern Italians, it depends, some are, some no. Greeks,it depends where. Aegean Islanders and West Asian ones not White, mainland are
