In Singapore, there is no minimum wage for (MDWs). To prevent monetary disputes over safekeeping, employers are encouraged to pay wages electronically through bank transfer and do proper record keeping.

Last Friday, our Co-Head of the HK office Celine Chan, and Graduate Legal Fellow, Jaime Chu teamed up with Equal Justice to participate in the #HongKongLegalWalk2023. We walked a total of 4.5 km in a bid to raise funds and awareness for JWB, Equal Justice, and Mind HK.
Our Hong Kong Caseworker Mentorship Programme is a few days away! We focus on training full-time MDW to serve as volunteer caseworkers, to help smaller, underserved unions to gain access to resources for casework.

Important update for Singapore employers and domestic workers: insurance coverage has changed as of 1 July 2023. Employers must now provide enhanced medical insurance, which offers higher annual claim limits and benefits.
In Singapore, #migrantdomesticworkers (MDWs) are required to live with their employers. The Ministry of Manpower has set out guidelines that entitle MDWs to acceptable accommodation and sufficient provision of food. Read more below!
