Shaheen Afridi said, "When we went to Australia under Rizwan’s captaincy, we won the series there as well. We won on green and bouncy pitches. They thought that because we had come from Asia, giving us green wickets would trouble us.
So if they have come to our country, we can't be expected to give them green wickets. We also have to win matches. Their strongest playing XI was playing too."
Pakistan got the result they wanted, but those spin-heavy surfaces did them plenty of favors. Winning at home is one thing; winning on pitches that offer something for everyone is what truly earns respect.

Emilio Gay has a stance very similar to Shan Masood and moves too far across his stumps with his initial trigger.
At international level, top bowlers expose any technical flaws, so how he adapts to it will be a major challenge going forward.
Sufiyan Muqeem had signed a deal to play in the T20 Blast for Derbyshire which would have been his first County cricket opportunity.
However he was called up for the Pakistan squad against Australia, where he has been sat on the bench, carrying the drinks and towels.

Those questioning Emilio Gay’s technique haven’t seen Inzi or Younis khan bat? Guys who scored over 40k international runs between them. If planting his front foot is his trigger, what matters is what he does after the trigger. Inzi managed it & scored plenty.
Hasan Nawaz has serious technical issues. He needs to work with a qualified batting coach like @TobyRadford1 to help him. Times running out for him. He needs to act quick
Hasan Nawaz’s poor form continues
even in President Trophy Grade-II.

A rough patch is one thing, but these numbers are genuinely concerning.
He’ll need to find form quickly and get some runs under his belt.
@jamilmusman_ I am not surprised. When you watch his batting, he has regressed massively. He keeps on practicing the same drills. Nobody has worked with him on his technique (hips opens at release). And he hasn’t shown willingness to grind hard instead of slogging his way out of bad form.
I an ideal world Pak will have another batter at number 7. Someone like Ifti or Khusdil can do the job in Pakistan. Otherwise you can have amir Yamin or Faheem in SA conditions. Saim replaces Maaz & adds a bowling option. Also shaheen gets replaced by Ali Raza.
🚨 Even if Shadab Khan were not in the team, you would still have lost the game - Rashid Latif
People criticizing Shadab Khan unfairly. Without him, you would have lost the match by 90 runs instead of 41.

@cric_pundit@ahmadjaved00 This is my playing xi from this squad
1. Farhan
2. Maaz
3. Babar
4. Ghori
5. Agha
6. Arafat
7. Daniyal
8. Shaheen
9. Nadeem
10. Muqeem
11. Abrar
@cric_pundit@ahmadjaved00 Nobody is blaming Shadab. I am blaming selectors for picking him without any performance in Domestic or international 50 overs cricket & not playing any first class cricket.
@cric_pundit@ahmadjaved00 From this squad, I’d play
Arafat Minhas & ahmed Daniyal as all rounders
Sufiyan muqeem & Abrar as specialist spin bowlers
If you still want Shadab then Samad sits out.
