In the US, loved ones are isolated due to Covid19, in nursing homes & LTC facilities and are dying from isolation. Safe reopening is needed for their well being
It’s been 💔💔💔💔💔💔 months since MN citizens who live in long-term care have been physically separated from those who love them and, have the freedom to come & go. When will their quality of life be a priority? @GovTimWalz@peggyflanagan@mnhealth@KarinHousley@NickAFrentz
Because of COVID-19 restrictions at long-term care communities in our state, families have been limited in seeing their loved ones in person. @NYGovCuomo please help to ensure rapid testing for all nursing home residents, staff and visitors. #ENDALZ
So here we go. Long term care is one of the most highly regulated Healthcare systems. Keep adding regulations, but did you know that governing bodies haven't raised the PRD in decades? Meaning do more with the same amount of staff since 1970. Patients are sicker and live longer.
We are a group of over 10k members in the US asking for isolation to end for family members in nursing homes & assisted living facilities. The isolation is changing them physically and mentally and many have died from isolation. Safe access needed for life. #covid19#nursinghome

‘DREAM JOB’: Mary Daniel's husband has Alzheimer’s and they've been separated since the pandemic began; now, she’s taken a dishwasher job at his Florida assisted living facility – so she could give him a hug in person. @DavidMuir reports. https://t.co/tufYi2Twuc #AmericaStrong
Caregivers like Mary Daniel have demonstrated courage and resilience during this pandemic. I was proud to name Mary to my Task Force on the Safe and Limited Re-Opening of Long-Term Care Facilities in Florida so we can explore how to safely reunite families.
