@radioriley @matt For me the profound point here was the coming of age of DAB . I0 years ago industry experts had written off DAB. D1 was not valued & had only a handful of commercial stations Now there is as much radio listening on DAB as FM and we have a plethora of new exciting digital stations

@matt We have discussed with RAJAR - think you have to include an assumption of what proportion of Absolute Radio's 3.8milllion AM/FM hours are on AM.
But the key point is that DAB the ugly duckling unloved technology is now at the same level as the universally acclaimed FM

@matt I was agreeing with you - although not sure you made assumption about Absolute listening on AM . I know you know how RAJAR works but not everyone who follows us does .

@matt Hi Matt - we've been looking at this and by our estimate DAB and FM now about same number of hours listened to which is a significant milestone for UK radio . @RAJARLtd don't separate out AM from FM so you have to back out AM stations such as @bbc5live @talkSPORT . @RadioToday
