@SpiritualJTB@Eagles This is a interpretation of the original text, It is theroized that this passage was actually refering exploitative practices common in the ancient Greco-Roman world, such as pederasty (relations between older men and young boys), male prostitution, or the sexual abuse of slaves.
@SpaceTomatoGG Despite the issues with the rest of fhe game coolest thing so far has been the NPCs refueling, being able to just call a refueling ship to your location and then continue on your way is a great addition, and so far no issues using it
@ErhiiN8 Superhornet Mk2, Its comparable to the rest of the hornet line, but I mainly have it for the second seat. I rarely have a gunner, but as ships move towards being disabled instead of destroyed its going to be useful to have a seat a downed pilot can hop into.
@StarBurgernl Ok all the responses telling you to wear your helmet are idiots. There are reasons to not wear your helmet, chief of which is drinking or eating. Not to mention personal preference. I do also hate this bug, I wish cig would fix it but I assume its more complicated than we imagine
@defrisselle@astro_reid Safer and easier to unload them in the water. They have to go out the hatch no matter what, and this way they dont risk getting injured when they try to lift and maneuver the capsule.
@SpireDomePillar@astro_reid They waited awhile before opening the hatch for this reason. The capsulealdo cools down through the lower atmosphere Its still hot but not 2760C. Its really hard to tell from the stream but its noted that the capsules does boil the water immediately around them when they land
@123ILLState @danielholkss Operation paperclip, no one is denying that many top scientist of the time where members of the Nazi party. At the time the US wanted to keep them out of the hands of the Soviets, whether it was the right thing to do or not it up for debate. It has little to do with this mission
@traderamapro@danielholkss This is exactly why this trip from around the moon and not a landing. We have "lost" the original technology we used, so we created new designs and are testing them.
@WillHammer77@danielholkss It actually does, It may not have been visible due to the atmospheric conditions or camera quality, but yes the capsule does boil some of the water directly around it. Just hard to see from a helicopter camera
@GoodnerThe@danielholkss Those are the hydrogen filled balloons that keep the capsule afloat after splash down. They have to be secured with a stretchable material so the balloons stay secured as they expand. They where not used until they where already in the water
@surgeonmeister@danielholkss The space craft is not made solely out of aluminum it has materials that block or absorb radiation. As for the van Allen belt they planed a specific path through it that avoided areas of higher radiation and orientated the craft to put as much shielding in the way as possible.
@HMPdg3s @historigins Thats not how that works, you dont need 88 cubic meters of space you just need the equivalent amount of air. For example a standard scuba tank is roughly .01 cubic meters of internal space. But because its pressurized it hold roughly 2.2 cubic meters of air
@LensNationX A counter point from a lore pov are these mk 2 and mk 3 designs simply R&D prototypes that they used to finalize the design of the "mk 4". Its very realistic to have a modification of the base frame, followed by a new design then based on that a refined design that goes to market
