🇮🇳 India is about to control one of the busiest chokepoints most people have never heard of.

The Six Degree Channel, just south of Great Nicobar, is on track to carry nearly 90% of the world's container traffic in the coming years.

It combines a trans-shipment port, a military airport, and new township infrastructure into a single forward operating base.

That puts India in direct watch of the Strait of Malacca, the world's second-largest oil trade chokepoint after Hormuz.

China has spent years trying to route around Malacca through CPEC and CMEC. This project is India's answer, planted right at the gateway.

India is building an alternative to its dependence on the Strait of Hormuz.

A proposed 2,000 km Oman Gujarat deep sea gas pipeline is being fast-tracked to create a direct energy link with Oman.

This is as much a strategic project as it is an energy project.

Around 60% of India's LNG imports pass through the Strait of Hormuz today.

The pipeline could carry around 31 MMSCMD of natural gas, reducing India's dependence on one of the world's most vulnerable energy chokepoints.

The project has been discussed for years, but growing instability across the Middle East has made it far more urgent.

Today, Iran once again announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The Middle East has rarely stayed free of conflict for long.

That's exactly why projects like this should be completed as soon as possible, so India's energy security is never dependent on a single chokepoint again.

ONGC has successfully completed India’s second geothermal well in Puga Valley, Ladakh, drilling 1,000 metres at an altitude of over 14,000 feet.

The milestone brings India closer to commissioning its first 1 MWe geothermal pilot power plant.

The well confirmed strong geothermal potential, with testing and pilot plant commissioning expected during FY 2026-27.

India is about to unlock a strategic advantage that took China years to build.

INS Varsha, near Rambilli in Andhra Pradesh, is expected to become operational before the end of 2026.

Built deep inside the Eastern Ghats, INS Varsha uses underwater tunnels that allow India's nuclear submarines to sail directly into the Bay of Bengal from inside the mountain.

That makes it extremely difficult for adversaries to know when a submarine has deployed or where it is heading, giving India's nuclear fleet a major survivability advantage.

INS Varsha is expected to host Arihant-class SSBNs and India's future nuclear attack submarines (SSNs), making it one of the most strategically important naval bases in the country.

Lux Industries will expand its integrated manufacturing facility at Dankuni through a ₹600 crore project, including around ₹450 crore in fresh capital expenditure. The foundation stone will be laid later today at the Hooghly facility in the presence of senior officials from the Government of West Bengal.

The expansion will add nearly 12 lakh sq ft of manufacturing and allied infrastructure, increasing annual manufacturing capacity from around 12 crore pieces by an additional 18–20 crore pieces. The total built-up area will reach about 20 lakh sq ft, making it one of Asia's largest garment manufacturing facilities. The project is expected to create around 3,000 direct and 6,000 indirect jobs in West Bengal.
