Kenya-UK relations have never been stronger!
This morning, over breakfast, I broke bread with UK High Commissioner Amb. Matt Baugh, not just for pleasantries, but to take stock of a partnership in motion. A year since the Kenya-UK Strategic Partnership Framework was signed, the conversation turned on what's actually being built: growing trade relations, connectivity under the Nairobi Railway City project, clean energy expansion at Malindi Solar and Menengai, deeper maritime surveillance cooperation and a defence relationship that continues to deliver mutual value.
The message was clear, Kenya and the UK aren't just reaffirming ties on paper. We're showing up, working through the details and building forward together.

On 12 August 2026, Amb. Geoffrey E. Kaituko, CBS, Acting High Commissioner of Kenya to Canada, visited Lambton Conveyor Limited in Wallaceburg. He held high-level discussions with Mr. Prashant Pathak, Chairman of the Board, and senior company officials. The meeting was also attended by a delegation from Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA), led by Dr. Dorothy Nyambi, President and CEO. The discussions focused on Lambton Conveyor’s expertise in grain handling, storage, and post-harvest management, as well as its interest in establishing grain-handling facilities in Kenya. The parties explored collaboration and investment opportunities to strengthen Kenya’s grain value chain. Key areas of emphasis included reducing post-harvest losses, improving storage efficiency, and enhancing the market readiness of agricultural produce. The engagement underscored the strategic benefits of the proposed partnership. These include increased national grain storage capacity, reduced food wastage, improved price stability for farmers, and greater resilience of Kenya’s food systems. The discussions were aligned with Kenya’s food security priorities and agricultural transformation agenda. During the visit, Amb. Kaituko and the MEDA delegation toured Lambton Conveyor’s facilities. The tour provided first-hand insight into the company’s operations and advanced grain-handling technologies, with a view to potential adaptation in Kenya. The visit reaffirmed the Kenya High Commission’s commitment to advancing economic diplomacy and facilitating Canadian investment, technology transfer, and expertise in support of Kenya’s sustainable agricultural development and long-term food security.
Thank you @SingoeiAKorir@ForeignOfficeKE for your unwavering support of ICRC and humanitarian action. We remain committed to strengthening this engagement to deliver aid to conflict-affected communities in the region and beyond. @ICRC_Nairobi
Trust isn't built on semantics, it is built on experience.
As market dynamics shift, trust is moving from abstract rhetoric into hard policy and industry execution. It remains the ultimate appreciating asset which is fundamental to functioning markets, economic resilience, and long-term growth.
The execution framework is set and dialogue now turns into institutional action ahead of the inaugural Trust Summit Nairobi Dialogue set for Oct 21–23, 2026.
