Born in Minneapolis, MN, she began formal music training at the age five playing the violin, and eventually started taking voice lessons at sixteen. She has gone on to perform at the Metropolitan Opera, LA Opera, Kauffman Center, Disney Concert Hall, and the Hollywood Bowl.
