Another awesome bunch from @Bruntonfirst being awarded their 2 star Outdoor Discovery Award @nnas_uk. Well done for the excellent map designs and navigation skills you clearly demonstrated.
30 years since CycleWight was formed. No Facebook. No Twitter! No emails. And some things are still the same. Provision for cycling in the Island could still be better. Join us in our celebration on the 29th April and hear about our successes and out campaigns going forward.

Wander through a woodland in late winter or early spring and you’re likely to hear bursts of rapid, resonant tapping echoing through the trees. This staccato sound is the work of a woodpecker on a mission. Read more here 👇

A lovely half an hour in fading light with a Lesser-Spotted Woodpecker on Dartmoor this afternoon.
It's always a shock to be reminded just how small they are.
@lesserspotnet
2/2 Lesser Spots can also be found in wooded areas of the southern and middle English counties and many RSPB reserves with wet woodland. As we are seeing this year LSW can turn up again in spots where they have not been recorded for years. Keep searching
The next few weeks are the best time to find & watch Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers, while they are actively feeding & displaying & before the leaves come out.
Where to go? Try your local woods if they had LSW in the past. Otherwise the New Forest still has about 300pairs and 1/2
What a gorgeous Spring day! 🌞
Here's Dan proving there's no end to his talents by gutter clearing at Minstead Lodge.
And in contrast, Jonny and Andy had a relaxed time during tea break enjoying the outdoors.
We hope everyone is out and enjoying such a beautiful day ❤️
It’s here, it’s here, it’s HAPPENING, it’s here!!! Wiggling, jiggling gelatinous JOY. Inky full-stops full of amphibious promise, wrapped in a cuddle of gorgeous gloop. Frog season is upon us 😍
