@Iain_MacGregor1 Areas off the trail are considered ‘wild’ and largely unmanaged, so you’re more likely to come across rough ground and windblown trees. You can find more details about our waymarked trails on our website. https://t.co/jjgjPAVqAm
@Iain_MacGregor1 Hi - thanks for getting in touch. It looks like the bridge you’ve shared isn’t on land managed by us and belongs to a private landowner.
We’d recommend sticking to the waymarked trail at Ariundle, as this is checked and maintained for visitor safety...

We've grown super-sized Christmas trees to light up towns and cities across the UK.
Like all our timber, these trees come from sustainably managed forests that have been independently certified and audited.

Did you know that we work with communities looking at taking over land or buildings we manage if they feel they can be better used for local people?
Our Community Asset Transfer Scheme or CATS is a way for them to bring ideas to us so we can work together to make it happen.
The event will be held on 30 October and students will have a chance to quiz our staff - along with representatives from across Scotland’s forestry sector - on the ins-and-outs of the wide array of jobs available.

You could learn how to operate large machinery, manage wildlife and help us save threatened and endangered species or provide a great forest experience for visitors.
Changes to the Community Asset Transfer Scheme will ensure local communities can benefit from renewable energy developments.
Developed with @ForestryLS, it will make it easier for community energy groups to lease windfarms due for upgrading.

Beavers have officially returned to Glen Affric.
Working in partnership with @treesforlifeuk and @BeaverTrust a family and a pair of beavers have been released into Loch Beinn a Mheadhoin on land we manage in Glen Affric National Nature Reserve.
Glen Affric will offer good habitat for the beavers to establish themselves and become fully integrated into the local ecosystem.
In turn their activities will create and improve habitats used by countless species of plants and animals for food, shelter, and reproduction.
