Hidden in southwestern Pokljuka, a high karst plateau in the Julian Alps with 6,300 ha of mostly fir forests, are numerous Alpine pastures. About 60 huts lie stretched across Zajamniki with a backdrop of mountain peaks to the west and the beautiful Bohinj mountains to the south.

We started our journey yesterday morning in the beautiful Lepena Valley above Bovec and headed towards the Lake Krn, the biggest alpine lake of Slovenia. This morning we set off to yet another adventure - an ascent to Mt. Velika Baba, 2016m, the peak you can see in the picture 😍
