Most enemies counter something to some extent. (daggers into bees, forge into cockroaches, not-AOE into eels) It's inherent to the type of game and was a big part of STS1 as well. Doormaker has/had the highest winrate of the 3 bosses so seemingly it screwed people the least. Act 3 is plenty of times to draft around the most difficult of the debuffs. (exhaust) If you have to win every run or the game feels bad I can see why it wouldn't appeal, but that's exactly why it does appeal to others.
@GenericProfile4@Pirat_Nation Doormaker made you think about how you played your deck, the card drafts leading up to it, and whether to go for certain events/relics. It was arguably too interesting. People just don't like having to plan or play differently. They want one combo and to use it on everything.
@Xil_llix@g_dot_earth Subbed for a few months because I had seen a few smart posts from him and all I got in return was babyrage about Sawyer having more subs than him and seething about Tesla. Also a recommendation to purchase META which is currently down ~10%. I went from subbed to muting.
@CurlingCrypto@rhensing@LOVtheCOV I'm claiming the neutral ground. Both numbers are equally irrelevant. I charge in my garage at night and go to a SC when the car tells me to. I'm never worried about my charge driving <150 mi and if I'm driving more than >150 there's always going to be time for a 15 minute stop.
@NonyaBidne94503@tsarlet2@Ethanzilla1984@ReactionaryLuma@evolved117 Stargate: Atlantis? About the same time as Halo 2. Humans are transported to unknown space. Discover incredibly powerful and abandoned space mcguffin. Discover the mcguffin's creators were ancient humans. They can use the technology while other races can't.
@Puhoy_pu@NathanHold@ShitpostRock2 That's literally what OP is asking for... Not my fault it's a silly request. A fully fleshed out world where you can complete the main quest without interacting with 75% of it. The rest of the world is still there. Do or don't interact with it. Up to you.
@Puhoy_pu@NathanHold@ShitpostRock2 Just do go to those places. Elden ring is the first picture. It's your own desire to explore taking you everywhere else.

Have you played the DustFront demo yet? It's so good. You guys know best, but I think there's a huge market for single-player / Co-op RTS. There's so many outrageously fun things you can add if you don't have to consider the opponent's enjoyment. Reinforcement drop of x4 mobile battleship cannon batteries raining lead from two screens away? Yes please!
@zeelee3D@gr8_rebellion@BenjiGameDev Ideally you just enjoy talking about your game. IDK, I'm sorry. Some of my favorite finds have been from getting random dev posts in my feed and I think I'm being defensive about it.
It's not going to be the next Slay the Spire, but they doubled their sales from 15 seconds of typing. 3yrs of game dev = x Sales, 3yrs + 15seconds = 2x sales. The math is good.
Conversion rate is going to largely depend on on how widely a game appeals to people. Niche games are going to have worse conversion. But the conversion rate of people who never see your game is zero.
IDK, I'm not trying to dog anyone and your experience is what it is. I love seeing dev posts personally. Even if I'm just one guy thank you to all the posting devs out there. I appreciate your passion for what you've created.
@zeelee3D@gr8_rebellion@BenjiGameDev Some of you guys just thrive on negativity. I love finding games through X. I bought Motorslice most recently and I'm playing the DustFront demo RN waiting for it's launch.

@BenjiGameDev In reality, thanks to all of you, sales have more than doubled since the post, and the game has gained 2,000 wishlists.
Of course, this has nothing to do with the 1.3 million views. The conversion rate to sales is very low. But the game has never sold as much as it has in 48h
