@IntoPitt He will be at southwest mountain river state, as an assistant. Just can his ass and move on. Might have a coaching IQ of a 6th grade volunteer travel coach.
@zach_seyko They have 90k undergraduates across the state, 900k living active alumni, it’s f’n math. What would the attendance be if you had 19k undergrads, competed with 3 pro sports teams, actual arts, and having 40% of two large schools grads that hate you living in PGH.
@aed12pitt@JJ_Kitchen40 $100 donation by active alumni is $37 million…dinner out for 2 these days, 4 cases of beer, one trip the grocery store. Understand it can be hard for some, but math says this isn’t a mountain to climb with better outreach and engagement.
@ChrisDokish Enrollment is a major factor(most people are poorly informed that rag on our attendance). ~19k undergraduates, multiply that over years vs. 50k/60k at these massive state land grants. Also, high % PSU/WVU/OSU grads settle here. Bottom line, smaller school vs Perception.
@RomanAround412 But if that tarp buys an offensive line, is that still a problem? Or is nosebleed acceptable to watch continued mediocrity. Pick one, it’s a new reality.
@_DearOldState Except for teams with an undergraduate enrollment of 19k(not 60k) playing in an NFL stadium that holds 70k. Pitt stadium held 56k. Clueless nitters that think Pitt is a large land grant institution with 90k statewide undergrads. Stupid.
@GhostofWhip 5 games tops, no bowl, Narduzzi’s last season, mason goes where there is an oline for 2027, green gives Haywood another shot because he will coach for free.
@TheLoyalSons No way, dumped my season tickets with stallings, picked up a few games first few years of capel, now they are like the pirates to me. Won’t give them a dime.
@SharpFootball You can hit the QB on an RPO fake when he approaches the line as if he has the ball. (Not in the head, though). How is that not holding like Indiana is doing on every play.
@PaulZeise And those teams brought in OCs an QB coaches for those players post draft that new how to develop QBs. Two are Shanahan tree coaches. Steelers had two first round qbs(11th/17th), two Super Bowl MVPs and a HOFer, and used Arthur smith. It’s obvious.
@ThePoniExpress It is not so much picking quarterbacks, it’s picking who coaches and develops them. See by example Darnold, Stroud, Nix, Mayfield, Williams, Purdy…they weren’t fireworks out of the gate, those teams brought in great coaches to work with them (Shanahan tree), not Arthur smith.
@ChrisDokish Even in revenue, recruiting, and value. If we had CEOs or common business sense running the NCAA(a 60 team league with 6 divisions by geography with NFL like TV rights) how simple it would be-no committees picking teams, division winners, $$ for all. SEC/B10 greed ruins it all.
@IntoPitt Is green still there? starting to question his existence, balls, and fortitude. Capel and Narduzzi are both still employed pulling in a combined 200k a week.
@LandonTengwall The refs will let OSU do whatever they want, starting with some holds that open up the running game early. Then, Miami will start getting hit with flags, turn the tide, OSU wins. Collusion and corruption continues in college football for big money conferences
@LandonTengwall You know OSU will win this game regardless of what actually happens on the field, right? Network, $$, B10,..it’s Miami against the world and the calls will start coming for OSU, starting with the garbage spot and no PI on that last drive
@pgh_cards_ Pitt needs to find a legit team, coach, and an administration with balls in the off season. They won’t, so sign up for 7-5 right now and call it a day.
