On 5 October 2026, I joined the Peace Media team at the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (@fmydNG) as a member of the organisation’s legal team for a design session focused on strengthening the capabilities of the Nigerian Youth Help Desk.

The session reinforced an important lesson: we cannot focus solely on problems when solutions already exist. We must also identify these solutions and explore how they can be strengthened and scaled.

Data protection remains a paramount consideration. I was pleased to have briefed the team on the requirements of the Nigeria Data Protection Act. Any platform designed to serve millions of Nigerian youths must treat the protection of their personal data as a fundamental responsibility.

It was also a valuable opportunity to engage and network with senior officials from the Department of Special Duties.
