Forex Trade brings forex markets on-chain, letting users trade currency pairs through perpetuals with up to 25x leverage and options. Go beyond the usual USD pairs with markets like JPY/EUR, JPY/INR, EUR/GBP and more giving traders access to a broader range of forex pairs from one platform.
Our team is proud to be building Forex Trade, the first forex platform on Solana. Since launch, we’ve already shipped multiple updates, and we’re not slowing down. We’re actively building every day, improving the platform and making the trading experience better with every release.
We’re also working on expanding the number of currencies and pairs available. The goal is to keep pushing beyond the usual USD-based markets and bring more global currencies on-chain, giving traders more combinations to trade from one platform.
And now we’re looking at the next major step: DEX integrations. We want Forex Trade to be accessible beyond our own platform and available across the broader Solana ecosystem. More updates are coming as we continue building.
We’re working on a cleaner mobile experience for Forex Trade.
The goal is simple: less unnecessary 3D, a lighter interface, and smoother performance so you can trade comfortably from your phone without the UI getting in the way. We’re working through the details now and will roll it out once it’s ready.
We’re designing limits around total open exposure, per-pair exposure, and available treasury liquidity, with the system dynamically restricting new positions as exposure approaches the defined limits. Creator fees are also used to replenish the treasury over time. We’ll publish the exact risk parameters once the risk system is fully finalized and live.
@forextradedapp The interesting part is the self-replenishing counterparty model.
What risk limits determine how much exposure the $10K treasury can take across all the FX pairs simultaneously?
We’re thinking about the next step for Forex Trade.
Should we add $SOL as a currency and let you trade forex pairs against Solana, or should we keep the platform focused on USDC settlement?
We want to hear from you. $SOL or USDC?
Why did we choose forex?
Crypto already has platforms like Hyperliquid where you can trade a wide range of assets. But forex has always been a different story - a huge global market, yet the on-chain experience has been largely missing.
We saw a gap that actually mattered. Instead of building another platform for something that already exists, we wanted to bring forex on-chain and make it simpler, more accessible, and available 24/7. That’s why we built Forex Trade.
The liquidity model is treasury-backed. We started with a $10,000 pre-funded treasury, which acts as the initial liquidity and counterparty for trades across the supported FX markets.
When a trader wins, the payout comes from the treasury; when a trader loses, the corresponding amount flows back to the treasury. On top of that, the $FOREX token generates creator fees, and those fees are allocated toward treasury replenishment and token buybacks. This means the treasury isn’t designed to remain fixed at $10,000
So, in simple terms: the treasury provides the initial counterparty liquidity, trading P&L moves funds in and out of the treasury, and creator fees help replenish and grow the liquidity base.
We’re thinking beyond just currencies. Once we’ve expanded our forex pairs and covered more global currencies, the next step could be bringing global indices onto the platform as well.
The idea is simple: one place where you can access and trade a wider range of global markets, all on-chain. We’re exploring it now and will share more once we’re ready to build it.
We had around 5 minutes of downtime while implementing an update to the platform.
Everything is back up and running now, and you can continue trading as usual. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
Forex Trade isn’t limited to USD-based pairs. You can trade one currency against another - JPY/EUR, JPY/INR, EUR/GBP, and many more. With so many possible combinations, the number of available pairs keeps growing.
And we’re not stopping here. We’re working to add more currencies so you can exchange and trade an even wider range of global currency pairs from one platform. The goal is simple: bring as much of the global forex market on-chain as possible.
We’re currently working on an update that will allow you to trade forex through solana:Ap1LVkexKkefXc6ee5bghjEaT46c2YkbLvoFwAbXiN6k.
We don’t want to rush it out and introduce unnecessary bugs. We’re taking the time to test everything properly, think through the details, and make sure it works the way it should before going live. We’ll announce it as soon as the update is ready.
Forex has been around for decades, but the way people access it still feels unnecessarily complicated. Accounts, KYC, restricted access, limited hours, and traditional settlement rails create barriers around a market where the underlying price data is already public and transparent.
Forex Trade is built around a simpler approach: bring forex on-chain, settle trades in USDC, and make the market accessible 24/7. The goal isn’t to make forex more complicated
It’s to strip away the unnecessary friction and make trading currency pairs as simple as connecting your wallet and trading.
Why did we launch the $FOREX token?
One of the main benefits for holders will be zero platform fees. Forex Trade currently charges a 0.11% platform fee on trades, but $FOREX holders will have those fees waived once the holder benefit goes live.
This feature is still in development. Once it’s fully implemented and live, we’ll announce it officially. Holders will be able to trade without the platform fee.
Traditional forex trading comes with KYC, account approvals, paperwork, and a long list of steps before you can even place a trade. We wanted to remove that friction. Forex Trade is built to make forex simple and accessible on-chain - connect your wallet, have USDC, and start trading without going through a complicated account setup.
The platform is available 24/7, so you’re not restricted by traditional market hours. Trade supported forex pairs through perpetuals and options whenever you want, and withdraw your funds anytime. No unnecessary steps between you and the market - just connect, deposit USDC, trade, and withdraw when you’re done.
