John Swinney losing his cool yet again during FMQs at the mere idea of having no integrity.
What an angry man. It's not a good look John.
Why don't you just tell the truth for once rather than getting angry?
What the messages reveal is this: even after the full extent of the #Mandelson#Epstein relationship was exposed & Mandelson was sacked Labour cabinet minister Darren Jones was sending the ex ambassador obsequious private messages.
So much for the public contrition.
Yet a man embezzling SNP parties own funds- not taxpayers- is apparently the biggest scandal in political history?
We are being gaslit by @BBCScotlandNews and Westminster
Outrageous
It's pretty clear that a behind-closed-doors deal was struck with sneaky Pete to take a reduced hit if he kept his boss out of it. That, & the postponed court case until after the election just stinks.
No wonder Dorothy has walked - she saw the train coming down the line.
A member of the public steals £400k from his employer over a 12 year period and we've now had 12 days of headlines, saturation coverage and propaganda.
An elected official breaches the ministerial code/UK law and Scotland's colonial media couldn't drop the story fast enough.
One scandal would be bad enough.
Under Swinney, it's one disaster after another.
Fraud, secrecy, police investigations and now unpaid tax questions.
The SNP's reputation is in freefall.
Stuart Campbell has sent an email rant to the Chief Constable and the Crown Office demanding there be an investigation after Sean Clerkin’s request failed
They’re really mad that the Murrell guilty plea hasn’t destroyed the SNP so they are going to desperate lengths 😂
Holyrood committees are supposed to hold government to account, not rubber-stamp SNP decisions.
This latest SNP manoeuvre reeks of a party terrified of scrutiny.
Has John Swinney learnt no lessons from the SNP financial scandal about the importance of transparency and independent audit, about the separation of powers?
Clearly not if this attempt to hijack the Finance Committee is anything to go by.

The BritNats parliamentary inquiry stunt is a massive miscalculation.
1. The public see it as a waste of public cash after a five year police investigation that cost £millions.
2. Threatening to drag SNP leaders to London for a show trial is not a good idea for obvious reasons.
The First Minister admits his party may have benefited to the tune of thousands of pounds of public money from VAT fraud.
He doesn’t want an inquiry. I wonder why.
🔴 NEW: More admin errors plague Scotland Secretary Douglas Alexander as Cabinet Office meetings log left incomplete. Comes after reports yesterday that his meeting with Global Counsel was declared 18 months late
Both Cabinet Office and DBT blame civil servant admin errors – but SNP want ethics adviser to probe whether the ministerial code was breached
