@drewlevinn can you suspend queue penalites until you fix any of the god damn bugs that cause disconnects and game freezes?
Hard to know which is worse between the client and the game bugs nowadays

The body makes vitamin D from sunlight. Specifically from UVB radiation on skin.
The SPF in your sunscreen blocks UVB.
Vitamin D deficiency is now implicated in immune dysfunction, depression, bone loss, cardiovascular disease, and cancer risk.
The solution sold to you: vitamin D supplements.
The body absorbs vitamin D3 efficiently from sunlight and from animal fat, particularly oily fish and liver.
You were told to avoid animal fat.
You were given a supplement.
The supplement industry is worth ยฃ50 billion globally.
The sun is still free.
It is available most mornings between approximately 10am and 2pm.
No prescription required.
No delivery charge.
No subscription tier.
This is not a workable business model.
Which is why nobody is promoting it.
The carnivore experience:
Month 1: "This seems extreme"
Month 3: "Okay this actually works"
Month 6: "Why did I waste 30 years eating plants?"
Year 1: "How is this not common knowledge?"
Year 2: "Oh right, no one profits from just eating meat"
Carnivore gets packaged as a right-wing masculinity project. All red meat and testosterone and men who shout about seed oils.
This framing is doing serious damage. Not to the men. To the women who've been quietly suffering from conditions that carnivore might actually fix, and who've been put off by an aesthetic that has nothing to do with the biology.
Here is the biology.
Autoimmune disorders affect women at roughly three times the rate they affect men. Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Hashimoto's, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, coeliac disease: conditions where the immune system attacks the body's own tissue. Conditions that are frequently dismissed, frequently misdiagnosed, frequently managed with medication that addresses the symptoms and not the cause.
The gut is where approximately seventy percent of immune activity is regulated. What you eat determines what lives in the gut. What lives in the gut determines how the immune system behaves. Antinutrients, lectins, gluten, fermentation substrates, pesticide residues: all of it lands in the gut first.
An elimination diet that removes every possible source of gut irritation and immune provocation is, mechanically, the most logical first intervention for an autoimmune condition. Carnivore is the most complete elimination diet that exists.
The women with autoimmune conditions: the ones who have been told it's stress, told it's hormones, told it's anxiety, given another medication and another referral, are the people who have the most to gain from this way of eating.
And they're being kept away from it by a branding problem.
Carnivore doesn't have a gender. It has a mechanism. The mechanism does not check.
Your protein powder is denatured whey from industrial dairies.
Spray-dried at temperatures that destroy amino acid structure, sweetened with sucralose, and thickened with gums your gut can't process.
Three whole eggs give you more bioavailable protein, plus the cholesterol your body needs to build testosterone.
Another example of statistical grandstanding by what appears to be a reputable health organization.
They try to scare you with claims that there's a 49% higher risk of diabetes in red meat consumption but what don't tell you is that that's relative risk (a comparison between two groups). The actual risk was between 3 and 5%.
Also consider the study they based this on used food questionnaires that counted pizza and cheeseburgers as servings of red meat. No accounting for the possibility that the diabetes was caused by the crust or the obligatory bun and fries that comes with almost every cheeseburger in America was considered.
This post and this study are utterly disingenuous.
Canola oil does not exist in nature.
It was bred in the 1970s from rapeseed: a plant historically used for industrial lubricants and lamp fuel, excluded from food use because of its erucic acid content, which causes heart lesions in animal studies.
Canola was engineered to reduce erucic acid to "safe" levels. Safe being a word used loosely when discussing an industrial crop modified for edibility and then processed through:
- High-heat extraction
- Hexane solvent baths (a petroleum derivative)
- Bleaching
- Deodorisation (because the natural smell is rancid)
The deodorisation step removes the smell of oxidation. The oxidation itself remains.
Canola is roughly 20% omega-6. It's in almost every restaurant meal, every processed food, every "heart-healthy" spread on the shelf.
You're eating a lubricant crop, solvent-washed and deodorised to hide the smell of damage, and it's been recommended by dietitians for forty years.
